Charges dropped against Haliburton man for attempted murder, sentenced to 18 months

The Haliburton man in court for attempted murder has had the charges dropped. Grant Wallace was taken into custody just over seven months ago for that charge along with seven others. While in court, Wallace plead guilty to the charges of assault, forcible confinement and possession of a firearm without a license. He’s been sentenced to 18 months in jail on top of what he’s already served in pre-sentence custody, and three years probation. The rest of the charges against him were dropped including attempted murder, choking, and uttering threats.
