Kennisis Lake Dam will be reconstructed this summer. Parks Canada is scheduling the work to start after August 16th.
The area around the dam will be closed and fenced off while the work is being done. The public boat launch will remain open. However, Parks Canada is asking that any boats between the launch ramp and the dam be removed before August 17th.
A portage route for canoes and kayaks is being provided during construction.
