A lightning strike is the cause of a structure fire in Dysart.
It happened this afternoon on Old Browns Camp Road near Harburn Road.
Two people in the house were controlling the fire with an extinguisher when crews arrived. The Minden Hills fire department was called in to help the Dysart department put out the fire. It was contained to the basement, and damage is estimated around $60,000.
Two people were treated for smoke inhalation. One person was treated on scene and the other was taken to hospital.
