OPP have confirmed three women are dead following a series of shootings in Wilno this morning.
It’s also confirmed that Ottawa police have arrested a 57-year-old man in relation to the deaths.
The first woman was found when OPP responded to a call at a home on Szczipior Road. After that, police got information about a home on Foymount Road, and when they got there, a second woman was found dead.
About two hours after the first call, officers responded to another call on Kamaniskeg Lake Road and found a third woman deceased.
It wasn’t until about five hours after the first shooting that the suspect was found near Kinburn.
Schools in the area were in lockdown, or a hold and secure for most of the day. Communications Officer of the Renfrew County District School Board, Jake Davies says all schools are out of hold and secure and students were let go from school at the regular time.
