A total of 70 people are facing speeding charges in the area in only a few days. City of Kawartha Lakes OPP was out in full force over the weekend. Of those 70, one person got hit with three charges in total including impaired and distracted driving.
Meanwhile, two people had their cars impounded for racing on Highway 35.
Two other people were also arrested for criminal driving charges.
At the same time, a single vehicle collision happened in Somerville early Monday morning and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
