Hunters in Haliburton County and some surrounding areas could see the spring bear hunt come back next year. The Ministry is proposing to bring back the spring hunt in areas that already have a fall black bear hunt. It’s a five year pilot project that would start next year. They also want to increase the scope to add non-residents. The proposal is in a public review phase now and anyone can submit their comments before November 30th.
