It’s Adoption Awareness month and our local children’s aid society is shedding light on children and youth who deserve permanent family connections. Regional Adoption Supervisor with the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society, Heather Owens says the local need is different from what people might think.
When it comes to making the decision to adopt, Owens says there’s one main quality parents need to have.
Owens says the society offers post-adoption support if it’s needed.
To find out more about the adoption process you can go to their website, or contact the Haliburton location listed below.
