Algonquin Highlands is the second council in the area to support the Blue Dot Movement.
The campaign is coming down from the David Suzuki Foundation to get a constitutional amendment so Canada has the Right to a Healthy Environment in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Environment Haliburton has been collecting signatures throughout the county for the past few months.
Algonquin Highlands council passed a resolution supporting the movement in this morning’s meeting.
