Water levels are continuing to rise in Minden. Reeve Brent Devolin says the levels rose another two cm overnight, and staff are working to protect local infrastructure and to make sure everyone is safe.
He says there are increasing road closures, and anyone in need is encouraged to register with the Red Cross at the community centre.
Devolin says the township’s main priority is public safety right now, and reminds all drivers and pedestrians to stay away from washed out or flooded roads. As of now, there have been no reports of anyone getting hurt because of flooding.
