Municipalities and townships could host events leading up to Hometown Hockey weekend

The four municipalities and townships in Haliburton County are gearing up for Rogers Hometown Hockey.

Highlands East, Dysart et al, Minden Hills, and Algonquin Highlands are looking at hosting events leading up to Hometown Hockey, which will be on October 14^th and 15^th.

County Tourism Director Amanda Virtanen says each area could host a hockey game.

The Hometown Hockey festivities will be based in the Village of Haliburton.

Hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Sloan will be broadcasting from Head Lake Park on October 15^th.

The game will see the Vegas Golden Knights visiting the Boston Bruins.
