Sandbags Available At S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre

Spring time can bring a potential risk of flooding in Haliburton County because of the rain and snow melting.

Minden Hills Fire Chief Doug Schell is reminding residents that sand and sandbags are available at the S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre.

He says to ensure sump pumps are functioning and keep an emergency kit that allows you to be self-sufficient for 72 hours.

The Minden Hills Municipality will continue to update Moose FM with flooding information.
