TV production crew to begin filming in Minden Aug. 20

A production crew from JRS5 TV Productions will be filming in Minden in late August.

That’s according to Township of Minden Hills officials, who say filming will take place Aug. 27 to 29, with preparations running from Aug. 20 to 26.

The crew plans to film exterior scenes for the TV series Honcho at Harrington Park.

According to officials, production vehicles, technical equipment and supporting activities may be located within Harrington Park, the Whitewater Preserve Campground, the Roger Parsons Centre, the Minden Fairgrounds, and trails along Horseshoe Lake Road adjacent the Gull River. Film preparation can take place anytime between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. at these locations starting Aug. 20.

Officials say temporary lane occupancy and intermittent traffic control may occur on Horseshoe Lake Road to support lift rigging, machinery movement, equipment deliveries and loading.

Filming will take place Aug. 27, 28 and 29 between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. with crews departing by Sept. 2. However, dates and times may chance due to weather, production requirements and safety considerations.
