Ontario Highlands Board of Directors Has Two New Members From Haliburton

Haliburton County has even more representation on the Ontario Highlands Tourism OrganizationĀ Board of Directors.

The Ontario Highlands Tourism Organization is made up of several regions and owners of tourism based services from the Haliburton Highlands, Hastings County, Frontenac County, Lanark County, Lennox Addington, and the Ottawa Valley. As part of their annual summit earlier this week here in Haliburton County, they appointed two new members to their board of directors.

Leann Crete, owner of Pines on the Boshkung, and Corina Mansfield, the owner of Deep Roots Adventure. Crete and Mansfield joined three other Haliburton County representatives on the board. Sarah Dunbrook, the Digital Communications Specialist for OHTO, says that the board of 11 members now has five people from the Highlands.

Dunbrook says that Haliburton County’s Director of Tourism, Amanda Virtanen, has been named the Chief Governing Officer of the OHTO.

According to OHTO, the board is appointed annually at their annual summit.
