All-way stop to be installed at intersection of Eagle Lake and Haliburton Lake roads

A new all-way stop is coming to Eagle Lake.

The County of Haliburton is installing an all-way stop at the intersection of County Road 14 (Haliburton Lake Road) and County Road 6 (Eagle Lake Road) to improve safety and visibility.

County officials say installation of the new stop signs is scheduled to take place on Oct. 23.

The change follows a review of the intersection, which found that drivers face severely restricted sightlines when entering or crossing County Road 14.

Officials say traffic volumes in the Eagles Lake area have also been growing.
