Culture Days Festival coming to Haliburton County

Haliburton Highlands has been designated as a provincial hub for Culture Days.

Culture Days hosts a variety of events and programs across Canada, inviting the public to participate and engage with local arts and culture in unique ways and show appreciation for the arts and culture in your own community. Events are free or pay-what-you-may and are intended to engage and expose people to local creativity and talent.

The Haliburton Culture Days Hub will bring together a collection of local events that celebrate creativity, community and cultural expression. According to officials, while each activity stands on its own, this hub serves as a simple way to connect events and highlight the shared spirit of discovery and participation.

This year, the celebrations run from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4. The Arts Council of Haliburton is hosting two online community information sessions to provide info and begin planning for the festival. These sessions will take place on April 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. and April 24 from 1 to 2 p.m.
