Haliburton Red Wolves to host its annual Law Enforcement Torch Run on July 18

The Haliburton Red Wolves will host their annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario on Saturday (July 18).

The organization, along with Haliburton Highlands OPP, is expected to travel through the main streets of Minden at 11 a.m., Kinmount at noon, and Haliburton at 1 p.m.

The Torch Run is a global fundraising effort where police officers and law enforcement professionals carry the “Flame of Hope” into local, provincial, national, regional, and World Special Olympics events across more than 45 countries.

Officials are encouraging residents to show their support by stepping outside, waving to participants as they pass through the community, and making a donation to help fund their training and upcoming events.
