New TLDSB initiative encourages skilled trades

Students in Haliburton County will get a chance to learn more about the trades this year. Trillium Lakelands District School Board is introducing Best in TLDSB. It’s a skills competition where students will get to be involved in things like construction, welding, robotics and the culinary arts. There will be a different competition for elementary and secondary students. The board is getting positive feedback about the secondary pathway opportunities being made available across our schools.
