Local Conservative candidate for MP says a mandatory increase in a pension plan isn’t the way to go. However, Jamie Schmale says they’re open to having discussions about improving the Canada Pension Plan.
Schmale says they want to put as much money back into people’s hands as possible.
Schmale says a mandatory payroll tax will kill small businesses, especially in Haliburton County. Schmale is competing for the MP seat along with NDP candidate Mike Perry, Green Party candidate Bill MacCallum and Liberal David Marquis.
