Highlands East council has approved hosting the annual Rockstar Adventure Race event happening in July. The request to host it at the Bark Lake Leadership Centre passed without debate, including having an OPP officer direct traffic during the biking portion of the race which crosses at Irondale Road and Highway 503. The event includes over 200 racers in the mountain biking and paddling adventure race on July 25.
