Township of Minden Hills reminding residents of year-round recycling materials

The Township of Minden Hills is reminding residents about materials that can be safely recycled year-round and where they can be taken for recycling.

According to the Township, light bulbs, empty propane cylinders and tanks, automotive batteries, oil filters, and ink cartridges can be recycled only at the Scotch Line Landfill.

Additionally, officials said, paint cans, paint aerosols, fishing oils, sealers, and undercoats can only be recycled at Minden Home Hardware.

Meanwhile, household batteries and empty plastic oil containers can be recycled at any waste disposal site.

For more information about what other materials can be recycled and where, visit the township’s website or email waste@mindelhills.ca.
